Symphony of Cekbration CMC Concert Series. This series fulfills the CMC's double mandate of organizing competitions to foster musical excellence and presenting · star winners on stage to enhance their performance experiences. It marks Elmer Iseler's 70th birthday, noteworthy because of his remarkable contribution to Canadian choral music. To begin the celebration, the Singers have lined up a concert series that is without precedent. To launch the series on October 25, the Choir will join the Toronto Chamber Society for a performance of Bach's Five Mottts. To celebrate the Christmas se,ason the Elmer Iseler Singers and· the Hannaford Street Silver Band will perform a selection of seasonal favourites on Friday, December 6. The Esprit Orchestra joins the choir on Friday, February 28 for a programme of largely Canadian works. On Friday, May 2, the Singers will close the season with the Toronto Children's Chorus.
