Violinists Rona Goldensherand Elizabeth Loewen Andrews, violist AnthonyRapoport and cellist Laura Jones share a wealth ofexperience in baroque and classical styles. Individually,they have been acclaimed for their performanceswith such groups as Sinfonia Toronto and TaliskerPlayers, and the Klezmer ensemble HuTsaTsa.The Quartet’s first CD, The Golden Age of String Quartets,is to be released in the fall of 2010. The WindermereString Quartet Concert Series was founded in2006. In addition to the Quartet’s core classical repertoire,the series occasionally features newly commissionedworks. Concerts take place in the warmacoustic and intimate atmosphere of St. Olave’s AnglicanChurch in Toronto’s west end, and have been recordedfor broadcast by CBC Radio.
