The fifty-five New York walks were a co-production between The Walk Productions and St. Ann’s Warehouse in association with Handspring Puppet Company (Sept 14- Oct 2, 2022). Starting at the Adam Clayton Powell Jr State Office Building Plaza on 125th Street, Amal was led through the streets of Harlem, drawn by the irresistible sounds of a jubilant second line processional, and welcomed by drumming students of the Harlem School of the Arts and The Kotchegna Dance Company who introduced her to the sights and pulse of their vibrant community.
