CONCERT NOTES •!• HEAR AND Now, continued •!• JAZZ NOTES •!• OuR MEMBERS WRITE I've had a busy and interesting month. I decided to make it my goal to visit, and sit in oil a rehearsal ·with each of the nineteen bands in the 416/ 905 areathat were listed in this column in the September issue of Wholenote. I've visited eight bands in the past year. The reception •that I've gotten has been quite pleasing, even before I identify myself. Granted, it's possible that walking into a community band rehearsal with·a bassoon in hand helps, but I'm pretty sure that warm welcome is available to anyone who is interested in getting involved in their local band.
